Manchester United completed the signing of Mason Mount on Wednesday, with the midfielder joining from Chelsea on a long-term deal.

The 24-year-old had entered into the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge, and United have snapped the England international up for a fee believed to be in the region of £60 million.

It appears, though, that manager Erik ten Hag is still keen to bolster his squad this summer, and the Dutchman could be set for a reunion with one of his former players.

According to Football Insider, Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana has said ‘yes’ to a move to Old Trafford.

The report claims that the Cameroonian is keen on the prospect of a reunion with Ten Hag, who he worked under during his time with former club Ajax.

Onana, 27, joined Inter from the Dutch side last summer and impressed during his first season in Italy.

In total, the ‘keeper made 41 appearances across all competitions, keeping 19 clean sheets.

United would reportedly be willing to pay around £45 million for the player, and the Manchester outfit are said to be confident of finalising a deal.

He was particularly impressive in Europe, helping the Italian giants to reach the Champions League final before eventually being defeated by Manchester City.

During his time with Ajax, Onana made a total of 214 appearances for the Dutch side, keeping 85 clean sheets.

United’s need for a ‘keeper follows the news that David de Gea’s contract with the club has expired, making him a free agent at present.

The Spaniard has spent more than a decade at Old Trafford but recent efforts to reach a contract extension failed to progress.

It was previously reported that United had made De Gea an offer on reduced terms, before withdrawing the proposal after the player had signed the deal and instead offering even lower terms.

Onana is currently contracted to Inter until the summer of 2027 having signed a five-year deal when joining the club last year.
