Liverpool’s pursuit of a place in the Premier League’s top four was given a huge boost as they beat rivals Manchester United 7-0 on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side went ahead at Anfield shortly before half-time through Cody Gakpo, before The Reds ran riot in the second half.

Gakpo, Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez each scored twice, before substitute Roberto Firmino added a seventh late on.

It was announced last week that the Brazilian striker will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the current season, ending an eight-year stay with the club.

Now, it has emerged that the forward already has several clubs interested in his services.

As per Football Insider, Spanish giants Barcelona and Serie A side Inter Milan have both registered their interest in the 31-year-old.

Firmino, who joined Liverpool from Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim back in 2015, has scored 108 goals in 354 appearances for The Reds across all competitions, as well as providing 79 assists.

Firmino netted Liverpool’s seventh goal against Manchester United on Sunday

During his time on Merseyside, the Brazil international has won no fewer than seven trophies, including the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup.

As well as interest from the two European giants, Firmino is also said to have attracted offers from the Middle East, with an unnamed Saudi Arabian club believed to be readying a ‘huge’ offer for the striker.

The report also claims that Firmino refuse to enter into talks with other clubs before his Liverpool future was decided, despite the fact that he has been able to sign a pre-contract agreement with any overseas club since January.

Firmino, who has represented his country 55 times at senior level, has struggled for game time since the likes of Nunez and Gakpo arrived at Anfield, although he has already netted ten times across all competitions this season.

The forward played crucial roles for Klopp’s side as they won the Champions League in 2019 and then followed it up with the Premier League title the following season.

During the 2019/20 campaign, Firmino registered a combined 25 goals and assists across all competitions.
