Sheffield Wednesday are considering stepping up their pursuit of Scotland international Jordan Rhodes this month, according to The Yorkshire Post.
The Championship club, who currently sit sixth in the standings following three successive league wins, have been heavily linked with a January move for the Blackburn Rovers talisman alongside league leaders Middlesbrough.
The 25-year-old, who has 13 international caps for his country, has scored ten goals in 25 appearances in all competitions for Paul Lambert’s side this season.
With fellow forward Gary Hooper set to complete a £3m permanent move to Hillsborough from Norwich City shortly, Owls boss Carlos Carvalhal is certainly not holding back in his attempts to get his club promoted to the Premier League at the end of this campaign.
Rhodes; who is valued at around £12m by Rovers, could be tempted into a move to Sheffield Wednesday as his father, Andy, is currently the Owls’ goalkeeping coach.
