Here at Shoot! we’ve always a watchful eye on the ever-changing transfer rumour mill as we look to keep you abreast of all the top talents linked with your clubs. With that in mind, today we’re looking to France and Ligue 1 where Southampton manager Claude Puel has turned his gaze to former club Nice.

The Saints have endured a mixed season under the Frenchman’s guise, currently 9th with five games to go they are off the pace of previous campaigns, however, did reach their first major final since 2003.

Despite murmurings that all is not well within the Southampton camp and that the former Monaco man could be on his way this summer, it seems that the club are pressing on with their summer business.

According to reports from the continent, the Saints are looking into a move for one of Puel’s former pupils in Jean Michael Seri, a Nice midfielder who made 41 appearances for Puel.

However, as per the reports they may have to fend off interest from Spanish giants Barcelona, who are also taking a look at the midfielder who has played a key role in taking Nice to third in Ligue 1.

With it looking likely that Seri could be on the move this summer, we sent some of our scouts across the channel to take a look, and this is what they’ve come back with…
