Manager of the Month: Phil Parkinson (Bolton Wanderers)

It has been something of a Jekyll and Hyde season for Bolton thus far.

They dropped just two points in August, but failed to win a single game in September. This latter trend looked set to continue when they lost to Oxford United at the start of the month, but since then they have won five games in a row to remain hot on the heels of league leaders Scunthorpe.

Parkinson’s men have scored ten goals in those matches, with Sam Hart’s 75th minute consolation for Port Vale being the only time their defence was breached.

The promotion charge is well and truly back on for The Trotters.
