Shoot!’s ultimate Everton-West Brom six-a-side team

Ashley Williams

Both sides have been solid defensively in recent weeks, but there’s little doubting that Ashley Williams is the best defender at the two clubs.

The Welsh captain made the move from Swansea City last summer, and given how much the Swans have struggled at the back this term (they are the highest conceders in the league with 59), it’s clear how integral he was to their shape and organisation.

And he’s proven his capabilities with improving performances at Everton.

Williams may not have made a great start to life at Goodison Park, but as the season has progressed, he has become more solid and dependable, and is now looking like the defender that helped Swansea get into and indeed stay in the Premier League.

His quick-thinking, ability to anticipate play, and good range of passing would be invaluable in this team.
