Shoot!’s ultimate Manchester United-Everton five-a-side team

Antonio Valencia

Everton’s Seamus Coleman would probably have made this team, but his horrific injury he suffered on international duty last week looks set to rule him out for at least six months, and everyone here at Shoot! would like to wish the 28-year-old a speedy recovery.

However, it means that United’s Antonio Valencia gets the nod, as his pace and power has seen him become one of the Premier League’s most consistent defenders in the past few years.

The Ecuadorian international joined the Red Devils as a winger back in 2009, but has slowly moved further back down the pitch, and is now a hugely accomplished right-back and one United can rely on to perform well.

The defensive side of his game has improved massively over the last 12 months, which is why, alongside his physical strength and reading of the game, he gets a place in this side.
