Shoot!’s ultimate Manchester United-Everton five-a-side team

Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Both sides have quality in the attacking third of the pitch, but it’s difficult to keep out a man who has made a huge difference to this United side since returning to the fold in the autumn – Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The Armenian international made just one Premier League start in the first four months of the season (which itself lasted 45 minutes), and manager Mourinho was widely criticised for leaving such a quality player out of his starting line-up.

However, the Portuguese’s decision to give the 28-year-old more time to adapt to English football has paid dividends as he has since scored seven goals and laid on five assists in all competitions for the Red Devils.

Teammate Paul Pogba would probably have made this side, but looks set to miss the game on Tuesday thus can’t be selected, while although the likes of Ross Barkley and Kevin Mirallas are excellent attackers, they are not as good as Mkhitaryan, which is why he gets a place in this side.
