Swansea fans will be hugely familiar with Everton defender Ashley Williams, who has once again proven to be one of the most accomplished and reliable centre-backs in the Premier League.

The Wales captain made the move from South Wales to Merseyside last summer, and Swansea’s tally of 69 goals against somewhat highlights his loss to their backline, and how important he was in terms of solidity and organisation in that back four.

And he has continued his fine form at Goodison Park, starting 32 of their 35 Premier League games, and becoming the most senior defender in the Everton ranks.

He is comfortably the best defender at both clubs, and thus gets the nod in our team.
