SIX Premier League clubs are preparing to scrap for the signature of Jordan Pickford.

According to a report in The Telegraph Manchester United, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City, West Ham and Arsenal are all ready to move for the Sunderland keeper as the Black Cats prepare for life in The Championship.

Reports claiming that Sunderland would accept £17m for Pickford have been dismissed by Davie Moyes who is hoping for a £25m plus add-ons.

Pickford’s departure will generate the highest fee that Sunderland will receive in the summer as they prepare for a grim round of cost cutting ahead of life in The Championship.

After coming through the ranks at Sunderland Pickford is in no rush to quit the club but for their finances and his career prospects a move is in everyone’s best interests.

With a World Cup at the end of next season Pickford’s priority will be getting regular first team football rather than moving on to the biggest contract.
