Everton manager Ronald Koeman sat down to face the media on Thursday afternoon the conversation was dominated by striker Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgian international, who has been in fine form for the Toffees this season bagging 18 Premier League goals so far, caused controversy on Merseyside after he snubbed a new contract which looked all but signed.
Speaking in his press conference Koeman, who controversially left Southampton last summer in favour of a big pay rise at Goodison Park, was calm about the situation in his press conference, stating that the former Chelsea striker had two years on a contract, which must be respected.
Koeman: "I'm not afraid about the situation because the player has two years more of contract. You need to respect your contract."

Those comments may have seemed fair cop to most fans watching on as a manager looked to talk down rumours of unrest with his main man.
However, some fans with an astute memory will have cast back to this time last season when, week after week, the former Barcelona defender was pressed on his future as Saints manager and persistently replied with something along the lines of ‘I have another year at Southampton, I always respect my contracts,’ before hotfooting it to the north west weeks later.
As you might expect, a fair few have taken exception on social media…
