Southampton midfielder Dusan Tadic is reportedly a target for Bundesliga duo Schalke and Bayer Leverkusen, according to the Daily Mail.

The 27-year-old has been offered a new contract by Saints but there were rumours towards the end of the 2015/16 campaign that he was keen to leave the south coast club, who will appear in the group stages of next season’s Europa League.

However, after the departure of manager Ronald Koeman to Everton earlier this summer, it is understood that the Serbia international is now more likely to extend his stay at St Mary’s, following rumours that he fell out with the Dutchman.

The two aforementioned German teams are both looking to strengthen their attacking options this summer, with Schalke forward Leroy Sane continuing to be linked with a big-money move to link up with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

Tadic, who joined Southampton from FC Twente in 2014, scored seven goals in 34 appearances in all competitions last term, picking up 12 assists.
