Southampton host Watford in the Premier League at St. Mary’s aiming to end a poor run which has seen them win just one of their last eight matches.
Saturday’s FA Cup defeat against Crystal Palace added further pressure on boss Ronald Koeman, whose side have slipped to 13th in the table.
Amazingly, Saints’ last league victory saw them beat leaders Arsenal 4-0 on Boxing Day and they have won just four of their 10 matches at home this term.
Watford stumbled over the festive period after a run of five matches unbeaten. The Hornets lost successively to title-chasing Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City at Vicarage Road, conceding late in both matches.
The newly-promoted side are still ninth in the table, five points above their hosts and six behind fifth-placed West Ham.
Quique Sanchez Flores’ men have only lost twice away from home all season and they got back to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Newcastle United in the FA Cup on Saturday.
The home side will be without Victor Wanyama, who is banned after being sent-off in their defeat at Norwich City.
Striker Graziano Pelle is likely to return after injury, but defender Steven Caulker has joined Liverpool until the end of the season after Saints agreed to terminate the QPR man’s loan.
Watford defender Nathan Ake will serve the final match of his three-game ban, following the red card he received against Tottenham Hotspur in December.
