Tottenham Hotspur travel to face Manchester United in what promises to be an interesting match on Sunday afternoon.

The Lilywhites currently occupy fourth spot in the Premier League table but could move ahead of North London rivals Arsenal with victory on Sunday afternoon.

Ahead of the game, it appears that Spurs are battling the Gunners in the race to sign a highly rated Eredivisie star.

According to Football Insider, both North London side are racing to sign Feyenoord star Santiago Gimenez.

The 22-year-old joined Feyenoord from Mexican side Cruz Azul in the summer of 2022 and has since scored an impressive 43 goals in 67 games for the Dutch side across all competitions, as well as providing eight assists.

Gimenez has been particularly impressive this season, netting 20 times in 22 games.

Gimenez has attracted interest from Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Fulham

The report claims that fellow London side Fulham are also interested in the forward, who has been capped 24 times by Mexico at senior international level.

West Ham United have also shown an interest in the Mexican, but the report claims that Arsenal, Spurs, and Fulham are all considering a summer move for the forward.

The Hammers are said to have stepped up their interest in the player this month but would reportedly have to pay in the region of £30-40 million to sign him during the current transfer window.

It is also claimed that West Ham could sell Nayef Aguerd, Said Benrahma, and Danny Ings in order to raise funds for a move for Gimenez.

The Mexico international is currently contracted to Feyenoord until 2027.
