Spurs and West Ham pursue out-of-favour Serie A star

Tottenham and West Ham United are set to go head-to-head in a bid to sign Japan international Keisuke Honda on loan.

The Premier League duo have been monitoring the out-of-favour AC Milan star’s situation this campaign ahead of the forthcoming January transfer window.

The 29-year-old, who has 79 internationals caps to his name, has failed to score or assist any goals in 11 league appearances for the Serie A giants so far this season.

However, Honda has started just four of those fixtures and is thought to be willing to seal a move away from the San Siro next month, with Spurs and the Hammers in pole position to hand him a Premier League switch.
