Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou will hope to see his side record their first win of the season when they face Everton on Saturday afternoon.

The Lilywhites started their Premier League campaign against newly-promoted Leicester City on Monday night and began the game brightly, going ahead before the break through Pedro Porro.

Postecoglou’s side then missed a host of good chances, though, before veteran striker Jamie Vardy headed the Foxes level in the second-half.

Spurs were unable to find a winner, much to the frustration of Postecoglou.

The Australian will hope to see his side be more clinical when they welcome the Toffees to The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, but in the meantime it appears that one of his players is still likely to leave the club in the next week.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manor Solomon is still expected to depart the Lilywhites before the transfer window slams shut at the end of the month.

Solomon is likely to depart Tottenham before the end of the transfer window

The Israel international has been heavily linked with a move away from North London for several weeks now, and Romano claims that he has already rejected a formal offer from Spanish side Getafe.

Solomon, 25, joined Tottenham from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk last summer, having previously impressed while on loan at fellow Premier League side Fulham.

The Israeli featured in five of Spurs’ first seven league games last term, before a meniscus injury sidelined him for the remainder of the campaign.

He is contracted to the North London side until the end of the 2027/28 season, but Romano claims that he is still likely to leave the club during the remainder of the current transfer window.

Solomon wasn’t included in the Tottenham squad for the game against Leicester on Monday, and he is unlikely to be involved against the Toffees on Saturday.
