Arsenal were dumped out of the Champions League by German side Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.

The Gunners were held to a 2-2 draw at The Emirates last week and slumped to a 1-0 defeat against Bayern at The Allianz, ending their hopes of a first ever European Cup.

It ends a dismal week for Mikel Arteta’s side, whose Premier League title pursuit was dealt a huge blow when they were beaten 2-0 by Aston Villa last weekend.

The Gunners face Wolves and Chelsea in their next two games, before a trip to fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the month.

In the meantime, it appears that Spurs could be hoping to sign a former Arsenal forward.

As per Football Insider, the Lilywhites are seriously considering a move for Bayern Munich star Serge Gnabry.

The 28-year-old winger, who can operate on either flank, is enduring a frustrating campaign under Thomas Tuchel, casting doubt over his future.

Gnabry has endured a frustrating season at Bayern Munich

Gnabry spent five years at Arsenal before departing the club to join Werder Bremen in 2016, having played just 18 times for the Gunners.

He spent one season with Bremen, before joining Bayern in 2017.

Since moving to Bavaria, Gnabry has scored an impressive 86 goals and provided 52 assists in 235 games for the club, as well as winning 14 trophies including five Bundesliga titles.

This season the Germany international has fallen out of favour, though, making just 17 appearances across all competitions so far.

The report suggests that the attacker could therefore be allowed to leave Bayern during the upcoming summer transfer window, and Spurs could be ready to pounce.

Gnabry’s current contract is set to run until the end of the 2025/26 season.
