Tottenham Hotspur are close to making Udinese left-back Destiny Udogie their seventh summer signing, according to reports.

As per The Telegraph, Spurs are on the verge of completing the signing of the 19-year-old full-back for around £21 million.

The report claims that Udogie, an Italy under-21 international, could be loaned back to the Serie A side for the upcoming season.

The Telegraph claim that a deal has already been agreed and that official confirmation could be imminent.

Udogie, who has been tipped for a senior international call-up, scored five goals and provided three assists in 35 league matches last term, making a total of 37 appearances during his first season with the club.

Spurs boss Antonio Conte has already landed Ivan Perisic, Clement Lenglet, Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Djed Spence and Fraser Forster so far this summer, as he looks to solidify his side as a top four team and possibly even push to challenge Liverpool and Manchester City.

The ex-Chelsea boss is not short of options on either flank at full-back, with Matt Doherty, Ben Davies, Emerson Royal, Sergio Reguilon, Perisic and Ryan Sessegnon all available to him.

While Reguilon has been told he can leave, Perisic is likely to become Conte’s first choice left wing-back with Sessegnon his understudy, and they may therefore agree to Udinese’s request to take Udogie back on loan for the season.
