Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on the signing of Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet, according to reports.

As per The Express, the London club are on the verge of completing the signing of Lenglet, who has been told he is surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp.

The 27-year-old is set to join Spurs on a season-long loan deal, which could become permanent next summer.

Antonio Conte has been busy so far this summer, signing Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic, as well as being in talks to land Djed Spence.

Emerson Royal could depart Spurs this summer

One player that could be on his way out of north London though is Emerson Royal, who could leave this summer if the right offer is made.

Atletico Madrid have already made an approach to sign the Brazilian, and Serie A side Roma are also rumoured to be interested in signing the 23-year-old.

Royal’s agent claims that Conte is keen to keep hold of the full-back, but the report claims that the Italian wants to upgrade his options on both flanks.
