Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to secure another victory when they host Wolves on Saturday afternoon.

The Lilywhites left it late to defeat Brighton and Hove Albion last time out, with Brennan Johnson’s goal deep into added time earning Spurs a crucial win.

Manager Ange Postecoglou has enjoyed a successful first season in charge of Tottenham, despite his side dropping down the table of late after initially topping the standings after ten matches.

Despite this, the North London club remain firmly in the hunt for a place in the top four, and therefore next season’s Champions League.

Now, though, it appears that those in charge of the club are worried about Postecoglou’s future.

As per Football Insider, those in charge of Spurs are ‘absolutely concerned’ that Postecoglou could quit to join rivals Liverpool.

The Reds will be on the hunt for a new boss in the coming months after current manager, Jurgen Klopp, announced last month that he will depart Anfield this summer.

Klopp is set to depart Liverpool at the end of the current season

The former Borussia Dortmund boss has spent almost nine years on Merseyside, but he will leave the club at the end of the current campaign and Liverpool bosses will therefore need to source a replacement.

Former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso, who is currently managing Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen, has emerged as an early contender to take the Anfield hot seat, while Brighton and Hove Albion’s Roberto De Zerbi is another name that has been mentioned.

According to the report, though, Tottenham bosses are concerned that Postecoglou’s bright start to life in London could make him of interest to Liverpool.

The Lilywhites have won 14 of their 24 Premier League matches so far, although they have struggled in the domestic cup competitions.

It is also claimed that the Australian’s future in the capital could depend on whether or not Spurs qualify for the Champions League next term.
