Tottenham Hotspur face rivals Manchester United in an intriguing Premier League game on Sunday.

Both sides secured progression into the FA Cup fourth round over the weekend, with Spurs beating Burnley 1-0 and Manchester United defeating Wigan Athletic 2-0 on Monday evening.

The game at Old Trafford will be crucial for both sides as they look to cement their place in the top four of the Premier League table.

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou will be keen to bolster his squad this month, and it appears that the Lilywhites are close to completing two signings.

As per Football Insider, Tottenham are expecting to complete the signings of both Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin in the coming days.

German forward Werner arrived in London on Monday to complete a loan switch from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, and the report claims that the former Chelsea man is undergoing a medical before finalising the move.

Werner, 27, returned to Leipzig from Chelsea in the summer of 2022 but has fallen out of favour this season.

Werner is set to return to the Premier League with Spurs

The Germany international is therefore joining the Lilywhites on an initial loan deal that will also include an option-to-buy clause.

He will add firepower to Postecoglou’s attack, with captain Son Heung-Min currently on international duty with South Korea at the Asia Cup.

Dragusin, meanwhile, is set to join Spurs on a permanent deal from Italian side Genoa.

The Romanian has been in fine form for Genoa of late and Spurs are expected to finalise a move for him imminently, following a breakthrough in talks.

Tottenham are set to pay an initial £21.5 million for the central defender, plus an additional £4.3 million in add-ons.

Postecoglou is keen to add to his defensive options following injuries to both Cristian Romero and Micky van den Ven in the early months of the season.
