Tottenham Hotspur could pile yet more pressure on Chelsea manager Graham Potter when they face The Blues on Sunday.

The Lilywhites have won three of their last four Premier League matches and currently sit fourth in the table, a point ahead of fifth-placed Newcastle United.

Spurs will face a Chelsea side that have won just two of their last 14 league matches, with boss Potter under increasing pressure to turn his side’s fortunes around.

In the meantime, Spurs have reportedly identified a Bundesliga star as a potential target when they look for a centre-back this summer.

According to 90min, Spurs are considering a move for Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka.

The Frenchman is set to be out of contract at the end of the current season and could therefore be available on a free transfer if his current employers can’t persuade him to sign an extension.

Ndicka, 23, joined Frankfurt from French side AJ Auxerre back in 2018 and has been a regular for the Bundesliga side ever since.

Ndicka has attracted interest from clubs including Tottenham

To date, he has made 170 appearances for the German club, but his contract expires in just four months and his time with Frankfurt therefore looks to be coming to an end.

Spurs are expected to look to recruit in defence this summer having failed to do so during the last summer window.

Their last signing at centre-back was Christian Romero, who joined the club back in 2021, and they will therefore look to bolster their options during the upcoming window.

It is claimed that the Premier League side had scouts in attendance at Frankfurt’s 2-0 defeat to Serie A leaders Napoli in the Champions League on Tuesday, presumably watching Ndicka.

Spanish giants Barcelona are also said to be interested in the French defender, who played twice against Spurs in the Champions League group stages earlier this term.
