Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou will look to build on a promising first season in charge of the club when the new Premier League campaign begins.

The Australian left Scottish giants Celtic to take charge of the Lilywhites last summer, and he enjoyed a fantastic start to life in London as his side sat top of the table after ten league games.

Spurs failed to keep up that form, though, and ultimately finished fifth, missing out on qualification for the Champions League.

Postecoglou has already added Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall to his squad ahead of the upcoming campaign, but the former Celtic boss may want to once again delve into the transfer market before the window shuts next month.

As reported by Football Insider, Tottenham could sell Oliver Skipp this summer if they can find a homegrown replacement for the midfielder.

Skipp could leave Tottenham this summer

Skipp, 23, has spent the entirety of his senior career at Spurs, with the exception of a loan spell art Norwich City during the 2020/21 campaign.

In total he has made more than 100 appearances for Spurs across all competitions, with his only goal coming against Chelsea in February last year.

last season the former England Under-21 international made 24 appearances for Postecoglou’s side, including 21 in the Premier League.

Leicester City, who won the Championship title last term, have been linked with a potential move for the midfielder.

Skipp’s contract with Tottenham is set to run until the end of the 2026/27 campaign, but the report claims that the North London club could sell the midfielder this summer if a replacement can be sourced.

The replacement would also have to be classed as ‘homegrown’ in order to ensure that the Lilywhites meet the requirement that all Premier League sides have at least eight homegrown player in their squads.
