Tottenham Hotspur host rivals Arsenal in the North London derby on Sunday afternoon.

The Lilywhites are hoping to finish in the top four of the Premier League and qualify for next season’s Champions League, while the Gunners retain hopes of winning the title.

With so much at stake, the derby could have added intensity and promises to be an enthralling encounter.

In the meantime, it appears that one of Tottenham’s defenders could leave the club this summer.

According to Football Insider, full-back Ryan Sessegnon is considering his options and could opt to leave the club during the upcoming transfer window.

Sessegnon could leave Tottenham this summer

Sessegnon joined the Lilywhites from Fulham back in 2019, but has failed to ever establish himself as a regular in North London.

In total he has played 57 times for Spurs across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing four assists.

The left-back spent the 2020/21 campaign on loan at German side Hoffenheim, making 29 appearances, but has played just once so far this season after undergoing surgery last year.

In total the Englishman has missed 87 games due to injury since joining Spurs, and he hasn’t played in the Premier League since January last year.

The 23-year-old’s contract at Tottenham is set to expire at the end of next season, and Spurs could therefore look to cash in on him this summer.

Sessegnon’s versatility may appeal to clubs, with the defender able to play on either flank and also capable of operating in an advanced wing-back role.
