Tottenham Hotspur continued their preparations for the upcoming Premier League season with a 3-2 win over Japanese side Vissel Kobe on Saturday.

Pedro Porro, Son Heung-Min and Mikey Moore were all on target for the Lilywhites, who have now won all three friendlies so far this summer following victories over Championship side Queens Park Rangers and Scottish outfit Hearts.

Manager Ange Postecoglou will be impressed by what he has seen from his side so far, but Spurs will face tougher tests when they play German giants Bayern Munich twice next month in their final friendlies before the start of the new campaign.

Off the pitch, it appears that one of Tottenham’s defenders will depart the club before the transfer window shuts next month.

As per Football Insider, full-back Emerson Royal is closing in on a move to Italian outfit AC Milan, with a full agreement now very close.

Royal looks likely to join AC Milan from Tottenham in the coming days

The Brazilian, who has been capped ten times by his country at senior level, has already agreed personal terms with the Serie A side, and the report claims that the deal is expected to be completed in the coming days.

Royal, 25, joined the Lilywhites from Spanish giants Barcelona in the summer of 2021 and made his 100th appearance for the North London side at the end of last term.

Despite playing 24 times across all competitions for Spurs last term, Royal remains behind Porro in the pecking order of right-backs at Tottenham.

It is claimed that Milan had an offer for the right-back rejected during the recent January transfer window, but Postecoglou has since decided that the player is not part of his plans.

The Italian club also had a bid dismissed earlier this summer, but the two clubs have since been in negotiations over a potential deal and an agreement is now almost complete.
