Tottenham Hotspur have made a flying start to the new Premier League season and, with Harry Kane having announced his intention to remain with the club, there is reason for optimism for Spurs fans.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s tenure at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has been little short of perfection so far, with the Lilywhites having beaten Manchester City, Wolves and Watford all by a scoreline of 1-0.

The Portuguese’s side sit top of the table going into the season’s first international break, and face a trio of London derbies against Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Arsenal when domestic games return in a fortnight.

Now, with less than 48 hours to go before the transfer window shuts, the club are being tipped to complete two more signings.

As per the Express, Spurs are targeting a midfielder and a right-back, with Santo keen to bolster his options in those positions in particular.

The report, citing the Telegraph, states that Barcelona full-back Emerson Royal is top of the club’s wish list, and could be on his way to North London very soon.

It is suggested that the 22-year-old, who has been co-owned by Real Betis and the Catalan side over the past three seasons, could be sold despite having only joined Barca earlier this summer.

Traore was a standout performer in Wolves’ 1-0 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.

The La Liga side would reportedly demand around £18 million for the player, while Spurs would be unlikely to agree to that price and would instead push to lower the price.

If a move for Royal doesn’t materialise, it is believed that Spurs will instead target Bologna’s Takehiro Tomiyasu.

As well as a right-back, it is also believed that the club are trying to bring in Wolves’ Adama Traore before Tuesday’s deadline.

The report states that personal terms have already been agreed between Spurs and the player, who worked under Santo for three seasons.

The deal could reportedly consist of an initial season-long loan, including an option-to-buy clause worth around £40 million.

Traore’s versatility is reportedly appealing to Spurs, with the Spaniard able to play in a number of positions out wide and through the centre.
