Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to build on their convincing win over Aston Villa when they face Fulham on Saturday afternoon.

The Lilywhites have enjoyed a largely successful season so far, and took a huge step towards qualification for next season’s Champions League by beating Aston Villa 4-0 on Sunday.

After a goalless first half at Villa Park, James Maddison poked the visitors in front before Brennan Johnson doubled their lead.

Villa captain John McGinn was then shown a straight red card for a reckless foul on Destiny Udogie, before Son Heung-Min and Timo Werner both scored in added time.

The result keeps Spurs in fifth place in the Premier League table but they do now sit just two points behind the Villans and also boast a game in hand.

Off the pitch, though, Postecoglou has been dealt an injury blow.

As per Football Insider, goalkeeper Fraser Forster is set for an extended spell on the sidelines after suffering an injury in training.

Forster is set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering an injury in training last month

The report claims that the Englishman has suffered a fracture in his foot and will likely be out of action until the middle of April.

Forster, 25, joined the Lilywhites ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, after his contract at Southampton expired.

He became Tottenham’s first choice ‘keeper for a spell towards the end of last term, but hasn’t featured in the Premier League at all so far this season.

The former England international’s only appearance so far this season came during Spurs’ defeat against Fulham in the Carabao Cup second round back in August.

Forster made his debut for England in 2013 and has six senior caps to his name, as well as more than 400 club appearances across spells with Southampton and Celtic.
