Tottenham Hotspur have been arguably the Premier League’s busiest club in the early stages of the summer transfer window, competing two deals and getting closer to adding to that tally.

Both Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster have arrived in north London on free transfers, and Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma is expected to become the club’s third addition in the coming days.

Manager Antonio Conte is busy rebuilding his squad ahead of what promises to be a demanding campaign next season as his side compete in the Champions League.

What that in mind, Conte has also been looking at adding young talent to bolster his squad and provide competition for places, however it appears that he has already failed in his efforts to land one star.

Udogie enjoyed a superb season for Udinese

As per Tuttosport via The Sun, Spurs have had an offer for Udinese full-back Destiny Udogie rejected by the Italian club.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a sensational season, scoring five goals and providing three assists in 35 games for the Serie A side, and his form hasn’t gone unnoticed.

The report claims that Juventus have also had a bid rejected for the teenager, who is valued at around £14.6 million, and his current employers are in a strong position as he is contracted to the club until 2026.

Conte has always been an admirer of full-backs and wing-backs and has overseen vast improvements to the likes of Ben Davies and Matt Doherty during his relatively short spell at Spurs.

Udogie would likely be used as a rotation option if he were to join Spurs, with the likes of Davies and Ryan Sessegnon also competing for the starting spot at left-back.
