Tottenham Hotspur make the long trip north to face Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon.

The Lilywhites are in pole position in the race to finish fourth in the Premier League table this term, after a 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest time out.

The result moved Spurs ahead of Aston Villa on goal difference, although Ange Postecoglou’s side do also boast a game-in-hand over the Villans.

With qualification for next season’s Champions League firmly in their sites, it appears that Spurs are already eyeing potential targets for the upcoming summer transfer window.

As per Football Insider, the North London outfit are in the running to sign Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

The Englishman has been in sensational form for the Foxes this term, making 44 appearances across all competitions including 29 in the Championship.

Dewsbury-Hall has been one of the best players in the Championship this season

Leicester had topped the second tier table for much of the season, and have recently returned to the summit after temporarily dropping down to third.

Dewsbury-Hall, 25, is a product of Leicester’s youth academy and has previously spent time on loan at both Luton Town and Blackpool.

The midfielder’s contract is set to expire at the end of the 2026/27 campaign, but he is likely to be the subject of significant interest this summer after his impressive displays this term.

In total the Englishman has scored 12 goals and provided 14 assists for the Foxes this term, and Spurs are set to face competition from fellow Premier League sides Brighton and Hove Albion and Brentford when the transfer window reopens.

All three sides showed interest in the midfielder in January, the report claims, but Dewsbury-Hall ultimately stayed put at The King Power Stadium.

Leicester could be pressured into selling key players this summer due to their financial situation.
