Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in talks to sign Wolves star Ruben Neves on Transfer Deadline Day.

The Portugal international has been a key player for his current club since signing from FC Porto back in 2017.

However, according to journalist Pedro Almeida, Spurs are negotiating a long-term contract to sign Neves in a deal costing around £34 million.

New Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo knows Neves well from his time in charge of Wolves and it seems he would love to add him to his midfield ranks.

Neves, 24, has started the first three Premier League matches of the season which have seen the Molineux side pick up 0 points so far.

Bruno Lage’s side were defeated by Leicester before being unfortunate to not pick up any points against Tottenham and Manchester United.

The Portuguese boss, who replaced Nuno in the summer, will be hopeful of keeping hold of such a key player but, with Manchester United also thought to be interested, it now looks likely that Neves will end his four-year spell at Wolves.
