Tottenham are reportedly favourites to sign FC Basel prodigy Breel Embolo.
The Premier League outfit sent scouts to watch the 18-year-old Switzerland striker score twice against Luzern at the weekend, with boss Mauricio Pochettino eager to bring in another forward before the close of the transfer window.
Embolo, who already has three international caps, scored 17 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions last season for Swiss Super League outfit Basel.
The youngster is fast becoming one of Europe’s hottest properties, although Spurs may face stiff competition from Premier League rivals Aston Villa, West Brom and West Ham United who have also shown strong interest in the past.
