Tottenham Hotspur’s chase for a top four spot was dealt a huge blow as they lost 3-2 against Arsenal in the North London derby on Sunday.

The Lilywhites went into the match seven points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa in the race for Champions League qualification, and a disastrous first half saw Ange Postecoglou’s side go into the break 3-0 down against their fierce rivals.

Second half goals from Cristian Romero and Son Heung-Min set up a nervy finale in the capital, but Mikel Arteta’s side ultimately held on to remain firmly in the Premier League title race.

Off the pitch, those in charge of Tottenham’s recruitment are working hard ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

As reported by Football Insider, Spurs are in regular contact with the representatives of Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo, who is set to be a free agent this summer.

Adarabioyo is expected to leave Fulham this summer

The central defender has been in good form for the Cottagers this term, but his current contract is set to expire this summer and he has told the club that he will not sign an extension.

Adarabioyo joined Fulham from Manchester City in 2020, having made just eight senior appearances for the Citizens.

Since moving to Craven Cottage, the centre-back has been a regular for the Cottagers, making more than 130 appearances for the club across all competitions in the time since.

The 26-year-old has been hampered by injuries this season, limiting him to just 18 Premier League starts for Marco Silva’s side.

The report claims that Tottenham have been in regular contact with the player’s representatives, laying the groundwork for a free transfer during the upcoming window.

Fellow Premier League side Liverpool are also said to have shown an interest in the defender, as well as Italian giants AC Milan and French side Monaco.
