Aston Villa host Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday in a game that could go a long way towards deciding who finishes in the Premier League’s top four.

The Villans currently occupy fourth spot in the top flight table and boast a five-point lead over Spurs, although Ange Postecoglou’s side do have a game-in-hand over their opponents.

The Australian will be desperate to see his side secure all three points on Sunday, but Unai Emery’s side have been in fine form at Villa Park this term and will undoubtedly provide a stern test for the Lilywhites.

In the meantime, Spurs are said to be preparing an offer to sign a player on a free transfer this summer.

As per Football Insider, Tottenham are plotting talks with Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly, who will be available this summer.

Kelly is set to leave Bournemouth when his contract expires this summer

The 25-year-old joined the Cherries from Bristol City in 2019 and has since made more than 130 appearances for the south coast side across all competitions.

Kelly, primarily a left-back who can also operate at the centre of defence, plays a key role for Andoni Iraola’s side but he is expected to leave the club this summer when his contract expires.

It is claimed that the player has rejected a number of offers from Bournemouth to extend his current deal, while Spurs are long-term admirers of the defender and are plotting a move for him this summer.

Kelly is also said to have attracted interest from fellow Premier League sides Newcastle United and Liverpool, as well as Italian clubs AC Milan and Juventus.

Clubs in Germany are also believed to have shown an interest in the former Englnd under-21 international.
