Tottenham Hotspur continued their pre-season preparations with a 2-0 win over Championship side Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

Midfielder Yves Bissouma put Ange Postecoglou’s side in front in the first half, before Dane Scarlett added their second in the closing stages.

Spurs have now won both of their pre-season games so far, having defeated Scottish side Hearts 5-1 last week.

As for all clubs, pre-season has allowed Postecoglou the opportunity to experiment tactically and in terms of squad selection.

Bissouma has been linked with a move away from North London this summer, but Football Insider claims that the Mali international is set to stay put.

The 27-year-old joined the Lilywhites from Brighton and Hove Albion two years ago, having impressed for the Seagulls.

Since his move, Bissouma has played 56 times for Tottenham across all competitions.

He was a regular when available for Postecoglou’s side last term, and the report claims that the Australian believes the midfielder has been ‘hugely impressive’ during pre-season so far.

It is claimed that Tottenham have no plans to sell the Malian during the current window, and he is therefore set to plan an important role for Postecoglou’s side next term.

Fellow midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is set to join French side Marseille, while Englishman Oliver Skipp has also been linked with a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

That would leave Postecoglou relatively short of options in midfield, and Spurs are therefore intent to keep hold of Bissouma.

The former Brighton man has just under two years remaining on his current Tottenham contract, and it appears that Spurs have no intention of selling the player this summer.
