Tottenham Hotspur return to action on Saturday when they welcome Wolves to North London.

Last time out, a late goal from Brennan Johnson earned Ange Postecoglou’s side a crucial victory, keeping them firmly in the hunt for a place in the top four.

Since Harry Kane’s departure last summer, the likes of Johnson, Son Haung-Min, and Richarlison have carried much of Spurs’ attacking threat.

Postecoglou will undoubtedly want to bolster his squad this summer, but it appears that one player that Tottenham have already signed is set to be involved in the first team next term.

According to Football Insider, teenage sensational Lucas Bergvall is set to play an important role for Spurs next season.

The 18-year-old joined Tottenham from Swedish side Djurgarden in January, and will officially move to London this summer.

Postecoglou is set to hand Bergvall a chance in the Spurs first team next season

The central midfielder is highly regarded and the report claims that he is set to go straight into Postecoglou’s first team, despite his relative lack of experience.

Bergvall only joined his current side in February last year, but the teenager has impressed in the Swedish top flight and his performances have earned him a move to the Premier League.

In total, he has played 29 times for his current club across all competitions, scoring three goals.

It is claimed that those in charge of the Lilywhites regard the player as a ‘generational talent’ and believe that he has the capability to slot straight into the first team in North London.

The player is said to have rejected interest from several top European clubs, including Barcelona, in order to push through a move to Spurs in a deal said to be worth around £8.5 million.
