Tottenham Hotspur make the short trip across the capital on Monday evening to face Fulham in an intriguing London derby.

The Lilywhites have been inconsistent so far this season and currently sit in fifth place in the Premier League table, while Fulham have surprised many people with their performances and find themselves just two points behind their opponents going into the game.

Last time out, Spurs were 2-0 up against Manchester City at half-time, before four second half goals from The Citizens ensured it was the hosts who were victorious at The Etihad.

Now, Spurs have been handed a huge boost ahead of their trip to Craven Cottage.

According to David Ornstein, Tottenham talisman Harry Kane is prepared to commit his future to the club.

The England captain has been linked with a move away from north London over the past couple of years, but the forward is now ready to sign a new contract with his current employers.

Ornstein claims that the player hasn’t been in contact with the club about a new deal since 2021, but that talks are planned for the coming weeks.

Kane, 29, has established himself as one of the world’s best strikers in recent years, scoring a remarkable 265 goals in 414 matches for The Lilywhites since his debut in 2011.

Kane is believed to be ready to sign a new deal with Spurs

The forward’s brace against Crystal Palace earlier this month took his Premier League tally to 198, meaning he is now just 62 goals behind Alan Shearer’s competition record of 260.

The Englishman could commit to the club until 2024 or beyond, Ornstein says.

At present, the 29-year-old’s contract runs until 2024, and until now it had been unclear as to whether or not the player would be willing to extend his stay.

In 2021, Kane looked to be close to joining fellow Premier League side Manchester City, with the player believing that he had a ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ with club chairman Daniel Levy.

A move never materialised, though, and City instead signed Erling Haaland last summer.

Since then, Kane has also been linked with other clubs including German champions Bayern Munich, but it now looks almost certain that the striker will stay put.
