The future of Branislav Ivanovic looks like it won’t be decided untill the close of the transfer window.

The Chelsea defender was expected to complete a move to Zenit St Petersburg but returned from Russia without signing a deal and made a surprise scoring appearance today in the FA Cup win over Brentford.

Everton and West Brom are both very keen on the defender who has fallen out of favour at Chelsea as Antonio Conte switches his side to a 3-5-2 formation.

Ivanovic joined Chelsea in January 2008 but after over 350 appearances there has been no talk of a new contract.

It’s believed that the Serbian is reluctant to uproot his family from the south of England which makes West Brom a more attractive move than Everton.

Ronald Koeman would love to bring in a defender with nine years Premier League experience but it looks like he’ll have to wait until Tuesday to see if he can complete a deal for the Chelsea favourite.
