Stam should give these 3 Reading players a chance against Manchester United

Tyler Blackett has had the better of Jordan Obita in the left-back pecking order in recent weeks, but the former Manchester United man hasn’t had a great time of it.

Blackett gave away the penalty from which Tammy Abraham scored for Bristol City on Monday, and a few other unconvincing displays means he hasn’t completely nailed down his place in the side.

Thus, Obita should get the left-back spot against United, yet Stam may even play both, with Blackett potentially moving to centre-back as part of a back three.

Nonetheless, Reading may need Obita’s pace and intelligence down the left-hand-side to deal with United’s attacking threat, so should get the chance at Old Trafford on Saturday.
