Stoke City have joined West Brom in the race for Fabian Delph.

According to a report in The Sun Manchester City are looking for £12m fee for the former England man.

Delph’s City career has barely got off the ground following his controversial move from Aston Villa in 2015 but at 27 years of age he still has time to try and resume his international career.

One stumbling block to a move is wages with the midfielder under contract until 2020 but with the new television deal in place both Stoke and West Brom are able to match his current terms.

Tony Pulis has been a long term admirer of Delph and is looking to refresh his squad while on a budget and lower the average wage.

After taking Albion comfortably into the top half of the table the former Stoke boss is looking to add quality to his squad but finds Mark Hughes with a very similar remit at his old club.
