Stoke City are reportedly weighing up a move for France international forward Andre-Pierre Gignac this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League side, who currently sit ninth in the standings following their most recent 2-1 defeat to Southampton, are said to be pressing ahead with their summer transfer targets already and are keen on recruiting the Tigres striker once the current 2015-16 campaign has concluded.

The 30-year-old, who has 22 international caps for his country and could feature for France at this year’s Euro 2016 in his homeland, has scored a sensational 24 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions for the Mexican outfit this season.

Gignac, who left Ligue 1 side Marseille back in June 2015, has revitalised his career over in North America and recently earned a recall to the French national squad back in November.

The report suggests that the striker, who still has two years left on his current deal, could be available for around £6m this summer if Stoke wish to firm up their interest in the Frenchman.
