Stoke City are reportedly considering a summer move for former England Under-21 international forward Nathan Redmond, according to the Sunday Mirror.

The Premier League side, who currently sit tenth in the English top-flight standings following Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, have identified the Norwich City winger as a cheaper alternative target to West Brom star Saido Berahino.

The 22-year-old, who has yet to earn his first senior international call-up to Roy Hodgson’s England squad, has scored five goals and provided one assist in 35 appearances in all competitions for the Canaries so far this season.

Redmond, who could suffer relegation with the Carrow Road outfit later this month as Alex Neil’s side currently lie four points adrift of safety, could be offered another spell in the top-flight by Potters boss Mark Hughes beyond the summer.

The report suggests that Stoke’s pursuit of Redmond could also prove a replacement for fellow forward Marko Arnautovic, who is set to leave the Britannia Stadium.
