Adebayor is a free agent after leaving Tottenham during the summer.

Many people said that Stoke would be the surprise team in the Premier League this season, and they appear to have finally found their feet after a disastrous start.

With the focus coming between the sticks with the fine performances of England international Jack Butland, many have forgotten that the Potters share the lowest tally for goals scored in the league. Hughes will be desperate to add the finishing touch to his forwards, which already boasts the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Bojan.

Now, it wouldn’t be a transfer window without Emmanuel Adebayor being linked to a Premier League club would it? The 31-year-old is a free agent and would give Stoke an experienced head in attack. Mark Hughes worked with the Togo international during the pair’s time at Manchester City, and could be reunited with him in January.
