Following three straight 3-0 Premier League defeats at the end of January and beginning of February, Stoke City’s season appeared to be petering out.

However, the Potters have picked up 10 points from a possible 12 since then to push themselves back up to eighth in the table, and back in contention for a place in Europe next term, with Marko Arnautovic scoring twice against Aston Villa in the second of those four matches.

The Austria international now has nine league goals to his name, which is a significant improvement on last campaign, when he only netted once.

The 26-year-old will certainly be confident of reaching double figures in the final nine fixtures, as he tries to help the club qualify for the Europa League, as well as going into Euro 2016 in good form his country.
