Mark Hughes is confident of holding on to Jack Butland despite interest from Manchester City.

According to a report in the Daily Mail the Stoke boss is anticipating interest in his keeper but believes that Butland is in no rush to leave the club.

The 24-year-old has just returned from more than a year out injured and has still to recapture the form that attracted interest in him before picking up an injury last March that ruled him out of the European Championships in France.

Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United are all likely to be involved in goalkeeper transfers this summer with a fully fit Butland bound to feature in speculation.

Shortly before picking up his injury Butland signed a new contract keeping him at Stoke until 2021 but if he recaptures his form it won’t be long before he is at the centre of speculation with interest certain from Champions League clubs.
