Stoke set to make Maguire move

Stoke City are keen on Harry Maguire.

According to a report in the Stoke Sentinel the Hull defender is one of three players at the relegated side that are interesting Mark Hughes.

Maguire had an outstanding season despite Hull’s relegation and has a number of clubs watching his situation.

The 24-year-old is under contract for another year but rather than try to match the offers coming in from Premier League clubs Hull are hoping to cash in with an end of season auction.

Hughes has been told that his transfer budget will be limited with value additions the priority rather than some of the marquee names of the recent past.

Maguire was signed from Sheffield United for £2.5m in 2014 with Hull believed to be ready to discuss a deal once they receive an offer over £20m with the player keen to move on in a bid to follow Michael Keane of Burnley into the England squad.
