Chelsea will face Championship leaders Leicester City in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup after beating Leeds United on Wednesday night.

The Blues fell behind at Stamford Bridge but striker Nicolas Jackson soon drew the hosts level, before Mykhaylo Mudryk put Mauricio Pochettino’s side ahead.

After the break the Whites drew level and the tie looked destined for extra-time, until substitute Conor Gallagher’s well taken goal earned the Blues a crucial victory and sparked wild scenes at Stamford Bridge.

Pochettino’s side will now face another second tier opponent in the Foxes, who will undoubtedly provide a stern test for the London side.

In the meantime, it appears that Chelsea have been deterred in their pursuit of a former Championship striker.

Gyokeres has been in sensational form this season

According to 90min, both Arsenal and Chelsea have scouted Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres, but neither London outfit are prioritising a move for the Swede.

Sporting signed the 25-year-old from Coventry City last summer, and he has since a remarkable 30 goals in 33 games across all competitions, as well as providing 11 assists.

Despite interest from both the Gunners and the Blues, the report claims that the striker isn’t currently a top target for either side.

Gyokeres attracted interest from elsewhere during the recent January transfer window, but his current employers pointed out the £86 million release clause in his contract when approached about his availability.

During his time with the Sky Blues, Gyokeres netted 43 times in 116 games, and he has also scored five times in 19 games for Sweden at senior level.

Chelsea and Arsenal are both set to be in the market for a new striker this summer, and both sides have also been linked with Brentford star Ivan Toney.
