Sunderland have reportedly agreed a fee to sign Tunisia international Wahbi Khazri, according to the Daily Star.

The Premier League side, who currently lie four points adrift of safety in the relegation zone, have entered discussions with Bordeaux over a January deal for the attacking midfielder before Monday’s deadline (23:00 GMT).

The 24-year-old, who has 22 international caps for his country, has scored six goals in 30 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit this season.

Khazri, who has been offered a four-year contract at the Stadium of Light, will become Black Cats boss Sam Allardyce’ fifth addition this month behind Jan Kirchhoff, Dame N’Doye, Lamine Kone and Steve Harper.

The midfielder was also linked with Everton and Aston Villa.
