Mitrovic has encountered a roller coaster start to his Newcastle career.

After the first few games of the season, the Serbia international wouldn’t have been anywhere near this team after picking up two yellow cards and a red one in his opening three matches.

However, since then, he has calmed down on the pitch and has looked more like the prolific striker he was at his previous club, Anderlecht.

The 21-year-old scored the opener at the Etihad against Manchester City, before brilliantly finishing against Norwich in the club’s 6-2 win last weekend.
