Swansea City are reportedly in talks to sign Ecuador international striker Enner Valencia on loan, according to BBC Sport.

The Premier League side, who lost 2-1 to defending league champions Leicester City at the weekend in the English top-flight, are keen on bringing in the West Ham United forward before the close of the summer transfer window tonight.

The 26-year-old, who joined the Hammers from Pachuca for £12m back in 2014, has featured seven times in all competitions for Slaven Bilic’s side already this season, despite not finding the back of the net.

However the Ecuadorian could find his first-team chances limited at the London Stadium in the near future after West Ham sealed the signing of Italy international striker Simone Zaza from Serie A champions Juventus.

Valencia scored six goals and provided four assists in 29 games for the Londoners last term.

The 2016 summer transfer window closes at 11:00pm on Wednesday night (August 31).
