A repeat of the midweek EFL cup clash, an inconsistent Swansea City side host high-flying Manchester City at the Liberty Stadium.

City will be looking to replicate their 2-1 win on Wednesday night against the Swans this Saturday, in order to continue their surge up the table and maintain their prosperous title ambitions.

Home manager Francesco Guidolin will be desperate for a better performance this weekend after their away defeat to Southampton in their last fixture.

It is clear that for the Swans to pick up anything from the game they will need to start fast and certainly be more clinical in front of goal, particularly after the amount of chances wasted at St Mary’s which at least would have got the men from Wales a share of the spoils.

The Citizens approach this game with the upmost confidence after their emphatic 4-0 victory last week against strugglers AFC Bournemouth.

Pep Guardiola continues to move from strength to strength as his team are demonstrating flair and cohesion every time they step onto the pitch, and for many it will be much more of the same theme on Saturday.

The form of Kevin De Bruyne has particularly been of note in past few games, as the Belgian has been at the heart of everything good for the Spaniard’s side, and appears to have elevated his personal game to a whole new level.

Team News:

Nathan Dyer (Ankle) remains the only major injury concern for the hosts in the lead up to Saturday’s fixture at the Liberty Stadium, as he is likely to be out for another few weeks.

As for the visitors; Nolito is banned, while Fabian Delph, David Silva and Vincent Kompany are all heavy doubts for the game having sustained minor injuries.
